Living in Hawai`i, we're surrounded by plants and animals not found anywhere else in the world, and with our tropical climate we can enjoy them all year long. Since we also live in a global economy, we have access to plants from all over the world. While it might be tempting to grow these exotic plants, it could negatively effect our local ecosystem.
Mililani Browning is a Natural Resource Management professional and joined us at our last meeting to talk about native plants and ways to protect our natural resources.
