We also love Instagram. We combined the two and found 7 local businesses you should be following on Instagram if you love East Hawai`i.

1. Merrie Monarch Festival

Hilo is a happening place, especially during the Merrie Monarch Festival! People come from all over the world to celebrate Hawai`i's unique culture and participate in the hula competition, craft fairs, parade and events. Follow their IG for updates and gorgeous pictures of East Hawai`i. 

2. Hilo Farmers Market

The Big Island is known for its fertile soil and booming agricultural economy. What better way to take advantage of that then visiting the Hilo's Farmers Market for fresh produce, flowers, food, and crafts? While you can find vendors at the market every day of the week, you'll want to visit the "Big Market" every Wednesday and Saturday to get the full experience!
