Hilo: You came to play; you wanna stay

It's Merrie Monarch Season here in Hilo.  It's a time when we host people from all over the state, country and even the world as they come to participate in (or just enjoy) the hula and Hawaiian culture. One thing we notice during this time is the uptick in interest in our real estate.

Once here, it's easy to see the charms Hilo offers.  But then, when people learn of its low price tag (relative to other parts of our great state), they become more curious about living here.

Even with our market as brisk as it is, with multiple offers coming in on many listings, one can still get a really nice home here for a fraction of a comparable home on Oahu.  But then you also have the added benefit of the slower pace of life and friendly folks.
